Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid walnut hardwood finished with tung oil. This bed is completed and can ship in about 2 weeks after your order.

This price for this full size (double) walnut bed is the standard listing price without the walnut added cost because this bed has some color variations (that some customers prefer) and a filler spot.

The photos show walnut wood with no color added finished with tung oil. No veneers on compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at about 1" below the top of the sides. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided.

The bottom of the sides and end boards are about 9" above the floor and are about 6" tall.

The head post top and head rail top is about 41" above the floor.

The length is about 80". The width is about 57".

The bed is shipped in pieces that lay flat in the box. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. The assembly based on detailed instructions is performed by the buyer. This design is also helpful for people who move because it permits more compact shipping and storage.
