This full size (double) bed is already nearly completed for shipping in about 3 weeks or less from your order date.

Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid white oak hardwood. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

The photos 2 and 3 show walnut. The photos 1, 4, 9, 10 show white oak with a very light brown color (MinWax weathered oak 270) added. Photo 6 is cherry with walnut stain, 7 is walnut. This bed is white oak. Finish is not yet applied to the white oak so you can request stain for an added $80. The standard included in this price is tung oil finish with no stain.

The bed is configured as a platform bed with 20 slats as shown in photos 2 - 4. The space between the slats is about 1.5".

The sides and end board bottoms are about 6" above the floor and are about 8" tall.

The head board is about 22" tall (2 boards butt together 11" each).

The canopy posts are about 2.6" x 2.6" square top to bottom. The top rails are about 2.4" x 2.4" square.

The bed is about 58" wide by about 71" long.

Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

Shipping costs are not automatically calculated by your zip code. The United States shipping cost is the 48 state base cost to which a regional adder must be applied. A quote for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada can be provided upon request or you can use a freight forwarder and ask us to ship to the forwarder.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
