Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (cherry, oak, maple, or walnut (walnut adds cost)). These are very popular and durable woods for high quality furniture. The photos show cherry wood with no color added finished with Tung oil. No veneers on compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

NbRnV04 is shown in photos 1,2,3,and 4. The bed is custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $80, you can choose from a wide range of colors of stain.

The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at about 1" below the top of the sides; slat top about 14" above the floor. The queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos that attaches to the lower head and foot board. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided.

The bottom of the sides and end boards are about 9" above the floor and are about 6" tall.

The head post top and head rail top is about 41" above the floor. The space from the top of the side board to the bottom of the head board is about 4.5".

The length is about 5" longer than the mattress. The width is about 3" wider than the mattress.

NbRsV04 is shown in photos 5, 6, and 7. photos. The bed listed is for use without box springs; platform configuration. 20 slats are provided that are about 1.5" apart.

The bottom of the mattress (top of slats) is about 15" above the floor. The top of the slats is about 1" below the top of the sides. The side boards are about 8" tall and the bottom of the side boards is about 8" above the floor.

The queen, king and Cal king sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The center support beam has 3 or 4 short legs that go to the floor.

The four bed posts are about 4" x 4" and with levelers on the bottom.

The top of the headboard is about 46" above the floor. The bottom of the headboard is below the top of your mattress (tell me the thickness of your mattress). The headboard is two boards that butt together with a peg between.

The length of the bed is about 9" longer than your mattress and the width is about 9" wider than your mattress.

NdFsV06 is shown in photos 8, 9, and 10. This is a storage bed. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at the same level as the top of the sides. Or upon request, the slats can be positioned lower so that a Tatami mat can be placed on the slats. The queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided.

The sides and ends sit on the floor and are about 14" tall.

The length is about 6" longer than your mattress. The width is about 4" wider than your mattress.

For King or Queen the drawer box outside dimensions are about 9" tall, 20" wide, and a little less than half mattress width for depth.

The drawers glide on side mount steel ball bearing drawer slides. The full and larger sizes have 6 drawers and the twin size normally has 3 drawers but has the option for 6 drawers.

The top of the head board is about 48" above the floor. The head board is supported by two posts. The head board consists of two boards that are each about 12" tall plus the top bar.

This design is also helpful for people who move because it permits more compact shipping and storage.
