Ship Soon 2082 King Wormy Maple NcRnV11 Platform Solid Hardwood Floating Bed with Large Thick Head Board

Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood wormy maple, also called ambrosia maple. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

The photos in this listing are of the King bed in stock made with wormy maple wood with color variations in the wormy maple finished with tung oil.

This bed will ship in about 3 weeks. The listing price is for King bed, wormy maple wood finished with Tung Oil.

The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The space between the slats is about 1.5". I can create a version of this bed for use with a box springs if you prefer.

A center support beam supports the center of the slats.

The top of the slats is about 1" below the top of the sides and is about 15" above the floor. The side boards are about 8" tall and their bottom is about 8" above the floor. The upper bed frame rests on a lower 8" tall frame that is not seen unless the person stands away from the bed.

The head board top is about 55" above the floor which is about 40" above the top of the slats.

The head board is supported as shown in the last photo.

The bed is about 3.25" wider than the mattress and about 5" longer than the mattress.

Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

The bed is shipped in pieces that lay flat in the box. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. The assembly based on detailed instructions is performed by the buyer. This design is also helpful for people who move because it permits more compact shipping and storage.
