Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood white oak, a very popular and durable wood for high quality furniture. No veneers on compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

The bed in stock may be equal or similar to the bed in the photos. The bed has stain and tung oil finish. This bed design has a distinctive trim board along the bottom of the sides and ends as shown in detail in the last photo.

The listing price includes King size box springs configuration with stain and finished with Tung Oil.

The posts are straight with tapered bottoms with adjustable bottom pads for uneven floors. The bed listed is for use with box springs. The bottom of the box springs is about 10" above the floor. I can create the bed for use without box springs for $150 more which provides for 15 added slats and their shipping. With the platform configuration the top of the slats is about 17" above the floor.

Also, turned lower parts of the corner posts can be provided for an added $295.

A head board can be added to this bed for about $250 depending on the design you choose.

The king and cal king sizes have a center support under the slats that is shown in the photos. The center support beam has 4 short legs that go to the floor.

The bed is custom made for you. You can request almost any change that you would like.

Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

The bed is shipped in pieces that lay flat in the box. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. The assembly based on detailed instructions is performed by the buyer. This design is also helpful for people who move because it permits more compact shipping and storage.
