Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood cherry, a very popular and durable wood for high quality furniture. The photos show the queen cherry bed with natural tung oil finish that is in stock. The head board is curved as shown in the photos.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

This bed is created in platform configuration. A total of 20 slats will be provided which will have their tops at about 14" above the floor. it has a center support under the slats that is shown in photos 4 thru 6.

These are the approximate dimensions of the bed in stock:
floor to bottom of side boards = 8"
side board height = 8"
top of slats recessed 2" below the top of the sides (14" above the floor)
bottom of head board 23" above the floor
top of center of head board above floor = 50"
top of the head board is about 4" above the top of the posts.

The bed is about 4" wider than your mattress and about 6" longer than your mattress.

The bed is shipped in pieces that lay flat in the box. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. The assembly based on detailed instructions is performed by the buyer.
