Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood cherry, a very popular and durable wood for high quality furniture.

The actual bed in stock is shown in photos 5 through 10. The 10th photo shows the center support under the slats. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats and the center beam) is a different hardwood species. The first 4 photos are from our standard Etsy listing because the lighting is good and they feature close up construction details.

The list price is for queen size platform canopy bed created from cherry wood and finished with natural tung oil.

The canopy posts are about 2.8" x 2.8" square top to bottom and are 84" tall. The top rails are about 2.5" x 2.5" square.

The sides and ends sit on the floor and are about 11" tall (platform top about 11" above the floor).

The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at the same level as the top of the sides. The space between the slats is about 1.5" and about 20 slats are provided.

The platform will be about 12 inches wider than the mattress (6" on each side) and 12" longer than the mattress (6" at the foot end and 6 inches at the head end). The platform wood that is exposed at the sides and ends will be the same as all the exposed wood finished like all of the visible wood.

The total approximate outside dimensions of this bed are 72" wide, 92" long and floor to top of post 84.375" including adjustable levelers for uneven floors.
