Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (ash, cherry, oak, maple, or walnut (walnut adds to price)). These are very popular and durable woods for high quality furniture. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

NbRnN02, photos 1, 2, and 3, is a configuration for use with box springs. The king sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. You can request a platform configuration which includes additional slats. Added cost invoiced separately. Send a message stating the mattress size and we will tell you the added cost for platform configuration.

Straight bed posts are standard with taper at bottom to about 1.5x1.5 inches with about 2.8 x 2.8 inch mid section plus adjustable bottoms for uneven floors.

Approximate standard dimensions are:
Height from floor to top of sides = 18"
Height from floor to mattress bottom = 10"
Height from floor to bottom of sides or ends = 8"
Length of queen or king size bed = 87"
Length of outside of bed more than mattress length = 7"
Width of outside of bed more than mattress width = 3.5"

NbRnN12, photos 4 and 5, has a distinctive trim board along the bottom of the sides and ends as shown in detail in the photos.

NbRnN12 is custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $150, you can choose from a wide range of colors of dye. The photos show cherry wood with a color added finished with Tung oil.

The posts are straight with tapered bottoms with adjustable bottom pads for uneven floors. The bed listed is for use with box springs. The bottom of the box springs is about 10" above the floor. I can create the bed for use without box springs for an additional cost, which provides for 15 added slats and their shipping. With the platform configuration the top of the slats is about 17" above the floor.

Also, turned lower parts of the corner posts can be provided for an added cost.

NbRnN09, photos 6 and 7, is a platform configuration for use without box springs. Twenty slats are provided: 2.5" wide with space between of about 1.5". The queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is about 1.5".

NbRnN07, photos 8, 9, and 10, The posts are straight with adjustable bottom pads for uneven floors. You can choose either tapered or non-tapered post bottoms for the same price.

The bed provided with this listing is the style of photo 7 which is a platform configuration for use without box springs. With the platform configuration the top of the slats is about 17" above the floor.

I can create the bed for use with box springs. The bottom of the box springs is about 10" above the floor.

A head board can be added to this bed for an added fee, depending on the design you choose.

The king and Cal king sizes (and queen platform configuration) have a center support under the slats. The center support beam has 4 short legs that go to the floor.

The cost of shipping is included in the listing price for shipping to a location in the 48 states that can be reached by the delivery truck. Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
