The day bed or couch bed is custom made for you. For an added $200, you can choose from a wide range of colors of stain. The recommended finish above the stain is Tung Oil for a beautifully natural bed.

DcRnV2, photos 1, 2, and 3, is created to use a standard twin size mattress; 38" x 75" x 8" thick. But if you would like another size I will create to meet your needs. The top of the slats (bottom of mattress) is about 10" above the floor. This gives the top of a 6" or 8" thick mattress is at the height of the surface of most typical couches. Check what height you like. With your large pillows in the back, the couch is comfortable for day time use for sitting. And it is easily converted into a bed for sleeping by moving the large pillows in the back.

The approximate dimensions of the standard design are:
40" front to back
78" left to right
10" floor to top of mattress platform (mattress bottom)
with a 8" thick mattress, from mattress top to top of back and sides is about 12"
30" floor to top of back and sides

You can request changes to these dimensions.

The height of the top of the back arch is about 42". Height of the top of the front posts is about 28". Height of the bottom of the mattress is about 8". The foot print is about 81" x 42". i will be pleased to change dimensions to be best for you.


Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

The cost of shipping is included in the listing price for shipping to a location in the 48 states that can be reached by the delivery truck. If your location is different, please ask us to suggest a shipping solution for you. A quote for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada can be provided upon request or you can use a freight forwarder and ask us to ship to the forwarder.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
