Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (choose the wood; cherry, oak, maple or walnut - walnut is added cost.) . No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

CcRnP3 is shown in photos 1 thru 4. The photos show this bed made with maple wood with white wash which is no longer available. There are 2 choices of white stain as substitutes.

The listing price is for natural color wood finished with Tung Oil. For an added $200 you can select from a very wide range of stain colors.

The platform bed is for use with a mattress (no box springs) as shown in the photos. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at about 15" above the floor. The king and queen sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. 20 slats are provided. For a refund of $150 you can choose the box springs configuration for use with a box springs. The box springs configuration has 5 slats and center beam for the king size only.

The sides and end board bottoms are about 8" above the floor and are about 8" tall.

The height of the top of the head board is about 44" above the floor.

The canopy posts are about 2.8" x 2.8" square mid section and turned at top and bottom. The posts are 72" tall. The bed does not have canopy rails. You can order canopy rails for an added cost.

The bed is custom made for you.


CcRnP9 is shown in photos 5 thru 7. This bed has a beautiful panel headboard and panel foot board and side boards with trim. You can request a different number of panels in the head and foot boards for the same cost.

The bed is custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $200, you can choose from a wide range of colors of stain. Some photos have color added.

The bed is for use with box springs. The king bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The bed can optionally be configured for use without a box springs (platform configuration) which provides 20 slats instead the standard 5. The space between the slats is about 1.5". Added cost invoiced separately. Send a message stating the mattress size and we will tell you the added cost for platform configuration.

The height of the top of the slats from the floor is about 10" for the box spring configuration and about 17" for the platform configuration.

Finials (see photo 10) are available for the top of the posts as an option.

The listing price does not include top canopy rails. You can choose the single (four) rails, or you can choose double (four) rails. Or you can choose the double (four) rails plus a grid of top rails (6 more rails). We will be pleased to implement other variations that you may request. We will respond to your requests by Etsy email.

The bed posts (plus top rails) are 84 inches tall and about 2.8 x 2.8 inches at mid height plus have adjustable bottoms for uneven floors. The top of the head board is about 46 inches from the floor.


CcRnV1 is shown in photos 8 and 9. The bed provided in this listing is made for mattress with no box springs. You can request that the bed be configured for use with box springs. The top of the slats for this listing is recessed from the top of the side boards by 1 inches. The Queen or King size has a support under the center of the slats which is a single center beam. The double center beam shown in the photo is an option for use if the top of the slats is recessed more than 2" from the top of the sides for an added price.

The posts provided with this listing are 7 foot tall. You can request different heights if you prefer. The posts in the photo are 8 foot tall.

You can modify the features of this bed to be best for your needs.

The head board is about 1.75" thick around its perimeter.
Mattress rests on 20 slats the top of which are 2" below top of side boards.
No box springs is used.
An I-Beam shaped center beam will support the center of the slats. This enables support without any feet to the floor from the center beam.
The wood (except slats and center beam) will be your selected hardwood sanded and finished with Tung oil. You can add a stain for $200.

Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

The cost of shipping is included in the listing price for shipping to a location in the 48 states that can be reached by the delivery truck. If your location is different, please ask us to suggest a shipping solution for you. A quote for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada can be provided upon request or you can use a freight forwarder and ask us to ship to the forwarder.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
