Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (cherry, oak, maple, or walnut adds which adds price). These are very popular and durable woods for high quality furniture. Click the wood choice box above to select your wood. No veneers on compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

Extra cost options are billed separately.

The photos show that the leg under the center beam is visible at the foot end of the bed. That leg has been eliminated by resting the beam on a ledge on the inside of the foot board. The beam has 3 other legs that are much less visible to a person standing in normal locations.

All beds are custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $200, you can choose from a wide range of colors of stain.

The CbRnP4 design is shown in photos 1 and 2 in natural walnut finished with Tung oil.

Standard features:
-Designed for a platform configuration for use with only a mattress as shown in the photos. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at about 17" above the floor. The king and queen sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. 20 slats are provided. The space between the slats is about 1.5"

-If you would like to use a mattress with a box springs, send a message. Box springs configuration has just 5 slats, and we can quote you the price. The top of the slats would be about 10" above the floor.

-The side board bottoms are about 8" above the floor and are about 10" tall including trim.

-The foot end board bottom is about 8" above the floor, and it is about 14" tall, including trim and top cap. The height of the foot board can be customized. Send a message and we will provide a quote.

-The head board is a beautiful frame design as shown in the photos.

-For a 10" mattress thickness, the mattress overlaps the headboard by about 3". The height of the top of the head board is about 50" above the floor, and the floor to the bottom edge of the headboard is about 24". We can adjust the headboard placement between the posts to suit your mattress thickness. Please add a note to your order stating your mattress thickness.

-The floor to top of canopy rails is 86". The canopy posts are about 2.8" x 2.8" square in the mid section and tapered on the two inner sides at the bottom and the top to 1.5" x 1.5" as is shown in the photos. The top rails are about 1.5" square.

-Canopy corner detail can be seen in photos 1 and 2. If you do not want the 1 inch square overhang at the canopy corners, we can make the corners with no overhang like photos 3-5 and 7. Please send a note with your order.

-The bed is custom made for you. You can request almost any change that you would like.

Photo 3 shows CbRnP3 in king size, made with natural walnut wood and finished with Tung oil. This bed features added canopy top rails and finials.
Photos 4-5 show CbRnP3 in king size, made with natural walnut wood and finished with Tung oil. This bed was custom made for use with an adjustable base mattress.

Standard features:
-Designed for use with a box springs and mattress. The bottom of the box springs is about 10" above the floor.

-Upon request, added slats can be provided plus a support beam under the slats for the queen and larger beds to create a platform configuration for use with no box springs. The space between the slats is about 1.5" and the top of the slats is about 17" above the floor for this platform configuration. Added cost invoiced separately. Send a message stating the mattress size and we will tell you the added cost for platform configuration.

-The sides and foot board bottoms are about 8" above the floor and are about 10" tall.

-The head board is a beautiful curved design as is shown in the photos.

-For a 10" mattress thickness, the mattress overlaps the upper headboard by about 1". The height of the top of the head board is about 50" above the floor. We can adjust the headboard placement between the posts to suit your mattress thickness. Please add a note to your order stating your mattress thickness.

-The canopy posts are about 2.8" x 2.8" square in the mid section and are 84" tall. They are tapered at the bottom and the top on 4 sides as is shown in the photos. The top rails are about 1.5" square.

-As an option you can request the 4 finials shown in photos 3 and 9 for an extra charge. Send an Etsy message to get a quote.


The CbRnV1 design is shown in photos 6 and 7.
Photo 6 shows CbRnV1 in queen size made with natural walnut wood and finished with tung oil. This bed shows the bed configured for a mattress with box springs, the head board with no gap, and top rails with square overhang.
Photo 7 shows CbRnV1 in king size made with natural white oak wood and finished with Tung oil. This bed shows the bed in a platform configuration for only a mattress, the head boards with a gap, and top rails with no overhang.

Standard features:
-Designed for use with box springs as shown in photo 6. The king bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The box spring is supported by 5 slats. For the box springs configuration, the height of the top of the slats from the floor is about 10". With the thickness of box springs plus mattress of 20" results in the top of the mattress at about 30" above the floor.

-The bed can optionally be configured for use without a box springs (platform configuration) as shown in photo 7 which provides 20 slats instead the standard 5. For the platform configuration the top of the slats are about 1" below the top of the sides. Added cost invoiced separately. Send a message stating the mattress size and we will tell you the added cost for platform configuration.

-The top of the sides is about 18" above the floor. The side boards and foot board are about 10" tall with their bottoms about 8" above the floor.

-The height of the top of the head board above the floor is about 50". The head board is two 14" tall boards with straight tops for the listing price. The standard design has a 1" space between the boards as shown in photo 7. You can request that the boards butt together as shown in photo 6 for the same price.

-A headboard with arch curve top as shown in photo 8 and other shapes are available for added cost invoiced separately. Send a message for a quote.

-The bed posts plus top rails are about 86 inches tall and about 2.8" x 2.8" inches at mid height tapered to 1.5" x 1.5" at top and bottom plus have adjustable bottoms for uneven floors. The standard design is for top rails with overhang as shown in photo 6. You can request no overhang as shown in photo 7 for the same price.

Then type a note at the bottom left of the order form stating any options and variations you request to make this best for you. If you see a desired special feature in any photo, include that request in your added written note. We will send a separate invoice for the cost of your changes to the listing. The listing you order plus your added note coupled with policy statements in this web site are the total statement of your order. Messages of any other type are not part of the order.

Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

The cost of shipping is included in the listing price for shipping to a location in the 48 states that can be reached by the delivery truck. If your location is different, please ask us to suggest a shipping solution for you. A quote for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada can be provided upon request or you can use a freight forwarder and ask us to ship to the forwarder.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
