Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (cherry, oak, maple, walnut (walnut is added cost noted below)). These are very popular and durable woods for high quality furniture. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

Then type a note at the bottom left of the order form stating any options and variations you request, including wood species and color, to make this best for you. If you see a desired special feature in any photo, include that request in your added written note. We will send a separate invoice for the cost of your changes to the listing. CbRnV4, Photos 1-4, is custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $150, you can choose from a wide range of colors of stain. CbRnV4 is for use with a box springs and mattress as shown in the first photo. The bed is configured for a box springs resting on slats at about 10" above the floor. The king sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. 5 slats are provided.

Upon request, the bed can be configured as a platform bed with 20 slats as shown in photos 5 - 9. The space between the slats is about 1.5". The top of the slats would be about 17" above the floor for the platform configuration. Added cost invoiced separately. Send a message stating the mattress size and we will tell you the added cost for platform configuration.

The sides and end board bottoms are about 8" above the floor and are about 10" tall.

The height of the top of the head board is about 48" above the floor. The head board is about 28" tall (2 boards butt together 14" each). So the bottom of the head board is about 20" above the floor; 2" above the top of the sides.

The canopy posts are about 2.8" x 2.8" square top to bottom and are 84" tall. The top rails are about 2.5" x 2.5" square. These are larger than CbRnV6

The bed is about 4" wider than your mattress and about 6" longer than your mattress.

1. This bed is 4.5" wider and 4.5" longer than a standard sized mattress.
2. The sides and end board bottoms are 8" above the floor and are 8" tall.
3. The height of the top of the head board is 44" above the floor.
4. The posts are 2.5" by 2.5" square top to bottom and are 84" tall. The top rails are 0.9" wide by 2.5" tall. Because of this shape of rail there are bolts that are seen at the end of the rails as shown in the photos.
5. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on 20 slats at 15" above the floor. The king size has a center support beam under the slats.
6, Photos 5 and 6 show a custom Herringbone headboard. Please send a message in Etsy for the price of this headboard.

The bed is custom made for you. You can request almost any change that you would like.
Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

The cost of shipping is included in the listing price for shipping to a location in the 48 states that can be reached by the delivery truck. If your location is different, please ask us to suggest a shipping solution for you. A quote for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada can be provided upon request or you can use a freight forwarder and ask us to ship to the forwarder.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
