Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (cherry, oak, maple, walnut (walnut is extra cost)). These are very popular and durable woods for high quality furniture. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species. Drawer bottoms are of high quality 1/4" plywood.

NdRnV05 is shown in photos 1, 2, and 3. The bed is custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $200, you can choose from a wide range of colors of stain.

The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats about 1" lower than the top of the sides. The queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided. The height of the top of the slats is about 11" but I can make the height what is best for you.

The width of the bed is about 8" wider than your mattress. The bed length is about 5" longer than your mattress.

The top of the head board is about 48" above the floor. The head board top and side and foot board top edges are about 2.25" thick. The head board is two sections that butt together plus the support posts behind the two boards.

The cut out at the bottom of the foot board is 3" tall (or what you like best). The width of the feet at the end is 7".

The 6 drawers glide on steel ball bearing drawer slides. The drawer box height is about 7". The drawer box widths (direction parallel to bed sides) are about 19" for a king or queen bed. The drawer box length (direction perpendicular to bed sides) is about half the width of your mattress.

The bed is custom made for you. You can request almost any change that you would like.

NdRnV07 is shown in photos 4 and 5. The bed is custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For $200 added I can apply a wide range of stains.

The photos show a block on the bottom of each post that is not slanted best. The proper slant is smaller at the bottom not smaller at the top. Another option you can request for a refund of $50 is that the posts continue to the floor with the same space below the the sides (about 3"). Or you can request a block of a shape of your choice for an added charge.

The photos show a drawer pull that is included with this listing. You can choose a different pull for the cost of the pull times 1.25 plus mortise charge is mortise is needed.


Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

The cost of shipping is included in the listing price for shipping to a location in the 48 states that can be reached by the delivery truck. If your location is different, please ask us to suggest a shipping solution for you. A quote for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada can be provided upon request or you can use a freight forwarder and ask us to ship to the forwarder.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
