Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (cherry, oak, maple, walnut (walnut adds cost)). These are very popular and durable woods for high quality furniture. When you order, please be sure to add a note to the seller at the bottom left of the payment page that includes your wood and stain choice. No veneers on compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

The bed is custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $150, you can choose from a wide range of colors of stain.

NcRnP02a is shown in photos 1, 2, 3, and 4 The bed provided with this listing is similar to that shown in photos 1 through 3 except that the space between the top of the sides and the bottom of the head board is a little larger. Please type a note with your order stating the thickness of your mattress and the bottom of the head board will be placed about 3" lower than the top of your mattress.

The bed provided by this listing is for use without box springs; platform configuration. 20 slats are provided with about 1.5" space between the slats. The top of the slats, bottom of the mattress, is about 17" above the floor. You can request the bed for use with a box springs (I will send a refund for box springs configuration) with bottom of box springs about 10" above the floor.

The queen, king and Cal king sizes have a center support under the slats that is shown in the photos. The center support beam has 3 or 4 short legs that go to the floor.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
