Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (cherry, oak, maple, ash, walnut (walnut is added cost)). These are very popular and durable woods for high quality furniture.

No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $150, you can choose from a wide range of colors of stain.

NcRsS02 is shown in photos 1 through 5. The photos show natural walnut wood finished with Tung oil.

The bed listed is for use without box springs; platform configuration. The bottom of the mattress is about 9" above the floor. The mattress bottom is about 1.5" below the top of the sides. The standard number of slats is 20 slats that are about 2.5" wide spaced by about 1.5".

The four bed legs are angled as shown in the photos.

The top of the headboard is about 44" above the floor.

The bed is about 8" wider than your standard mattress and about 8" longer than your standard mattress.

NcRnS02 is shown in photos 6 thru 10. The bed listed is for use without box springs; platform configuration. The bottom of the mattress (top of slats) is about 14" above the floor. 20 slats are provided which are each about 2.5" wide and with about 1.5" between slats.

The clearance under the sides of the bed is about 9" (less clearance under the center).

The four bed legs are turned to a cone shape as shown in the photos. The center of the bed has short legs to the floor for more support.

The top of the headboard is about 38" above the floor. The bottom of the headboard is below the top of your mattress.

The overall bed is about 2.5" wider than your mattress and 5" longer than your mattress.

Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

The cost of shipping is included in the listing price for shipping to a location in the 48 states that can be reached by the delivery truck. If your location is different, please ask us to suggest a shipping solution for you. A quote for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada can be provided upon request or you can use a freight forwarder and ask us to ship to the forwarder.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
