Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (cherry, oak, maple, or walnut (walnut adds cost)). These are very popular and durable woods for high quality furniture.

The first 3 photos show cherry wood with no color added finished with Tung oil. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species. Drawer bottoms are of high quality 1/4" plywood.

Extra cost options are billed separately.

Then type a note at the bottom left of the order form stating any options and variations you request, including wood species and color, to make this best for you. If you see a desired special feature in any photo, include that request in your added written note. We will send a separate invoice for the cost of your changes to the listing. NdFnN05 is shown in photos 1, 2, and 3. This bed has a center storage and the drawers that are about 1/3 the width of the mattress. This bed is the same as NdFnN05n except this bed has shorter drawers and a center storage space.

The bed is custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $200, you can choose from a wide range of colors of stain. The photos show cherry wood with no color added.

The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats that are about 1" down from the top of the sides. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided. For the Queen and King sizes, one beam runs from end to end under the slats to support them in addition to the support at the ends of the slats.

Here are the standard approximate dimensions of this bed:
Length for queen or king = 85"
Width of queen size = 64"
Width of king size = 80"
The sides and ends sit on the floor and are about 21" tall.
The height of the drawer boxes for any of the bed sizes is about 7.25" for the lower row and 6.25" for the upper row.

Twelve drawers are under the bed. Six pull out on one side and six pull out on the other side. (Except for the twin size that has 6 drawers on one side only.) The drawers glide on side mount steel ball bearing slides. For the Full and Queen and King sizes, the length of the drawers will be about 1/3 of the width of the bed. The remaining approximate 1/3 in the middle will be an open storage space that is accessed from the foot end of the bed through doors as shown in the forth photo. The Full size can have a cubby in the middle but for the full size with no center cubby the length of the drawers are about 1/2 the width of the bed with no center storage area under the mattress. For the Twin size the length of the 6 drawers pulling out one side only are about the width of the bed with no center storage area under the mattress.

If you don't request a different style, the bed you will receive will have overlay drawers like shown in the first photo. The metal pulls shown in the photos are available at a higher cost; not included in listing price. You can request a small bevel inside the back of drawer face bottom edges for pulling at no higher price.

Inset drawer faces like those shown in the first photo of NdFnN05n listing can be requested in a note on your order. As pictured, rectangle cut out drawer pulls are no added cost but you could request drawer pulls instead. Please indicate a choice of pull style in the note and we can quote any costs.

Drawer pulls will be selected by the customer. You can request a quote for the pulls and/or installation charges which will be invoiced separately.

NdFnN05N is shown in photos 4, 5, 6, and 7. This bed has drawers that are about half the width of the mattress; no center storage between them. This bed is the same as NdFnN05 except for the longer drawers and no center storage.

The first photo shows inset drawer faces which is standard for this bed. However, you can request overlay drawer faces as is shown in the second photo for the same price.

NdFnN01 is shown in photos 8, 9, and 10. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats that are about at the top of the sides. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided. For the Full, Queen and King sizes, a beam run from end to end under the slats to support them in addition to the support at the ends of the slats.

The top of the sides is about 20" above the floor. You can request a different height.

The width of the bed is about 2" wider than your mattress and the length is about 2" longer than your mattress. I can make the bed the same width and length as your mattress if you request in a note with your order.

Six drawers are under the bed that pull out of one side. The drawers glide on side mount steel ball bearing slides that pull out 28". The drawer box height for 20" tall bed is about 5.75" upper and 7.75" lower row. The box width for King and Queen is about 19". For the Queen or King sizes, the length of the drawers will be about 37". For the full size the box width is about 17" and the length is about 33". The remaining space under the bed will be an open storage space that is accessed from either end of the bed through a door as shown in the photos. 6, 7, and 8. For the Twin size the length of the drawers are about 32" with no other storage area under the mattress.

If you don't make a different request, you will receive a rectangular cut out in the top of each drawer face for a pull as shown in the first photo. Other drawer pulls can be selected by the customer and shipped to us. Some photos show a formed wood drawer pull (eg. photos 9 and 10). Send us a message about your request and we can quote added costs.

Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

The cost of shipping is included in the listing price for shipping to a location in the 48 states that can be reached by the delivery truck. If your location is different, please ask us to suggest a shipping solution for you. A quote for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada can be provided upon request or you can use a freight forwarder and ask us to ship to the forwarder.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
