Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (cherry, oak, maple, walnut (walnut adds cost)). These are very popular and durable woods for high quality furniture. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species.

NbRnV07-1 is shown in photos 1, 2, and 3. The first two photos show the bed as provided by this listing unless you choose an option stated by a note with your order. The third photo shows an optional top board that can be placed on the head and foot ends for an added cost. The fourth photo shows an option to the tapered post tops for an added cost.

The fifth photo shows curved head board tops that can be provided on any of these listings for an added cost.

The bed is custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $150, you can choose from a wide range of colors of stain.

Straight bed posts are standard with taper at top and bottom to 1.5x1.5 inches with about 2.8 x 2.8 inch mid section plus adjustable bottoms for uneven floors. Standard side boards and foot board are 10 inches tall and 8 inches off the floor.

The bed listed is for use with a box springs and a mattress. The height of the box spring bottom above the floor is about 10".

As an option, the bed can be made as a platform configuration for use without box springs for an added cost, invoice separately. Please note in your order if you want a platform configuration or send me a message for a quote. For the platform configuration, the height of the bottom of the mattress above the floor is about 17".

The top of the head board is about 48" above the floor. The top of the foot board is about 28" above the floor. Post tops are about 8" above the top of the head or foot boards.

Any of the heights can be changed if you request for perhaps added charge.

The king bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is about 1.5".

The side boards are about 11" tall with their bottoms about 6" above the floor.

The posts are straight with tapered bottoms with adjustable bottom pads for uneven floors.

The bed listed is for use with box springs. The bottom of the box springs is about 8" above the floor. Upon request, the bed can be a platform configuration which provides for 15 added slats and their shipping. For the platform the standard position of the top of the slats is 1" below the top of the sides. Added cost invoiced separately. Send a message stating the mattress size and we will tell you the added cost for platform configuration.

The top of the head board is about 50" above the floor.
The head and foot boards have horizontal top cap boards on their tops.

The king and Cal king sizes have a center support under the slats that is shown in the photos. The center support beam has 4 short legs that go to the floor.

The bed is about 3" wider than your mattress and about 7" longer than your mattress.

Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

The cost of shipping is included in the listing price for shipping to a location in the 48 states that can be reached by the delivery truck. If your location is different please ask us to suggest a shipping solution for you. A quote for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada can be provided upon request or you can use a freight forwarder and ask us to ship to the forwarder.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
