Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (cherry, oak, maple, walnut (walnut adds cost)). These are very popular and durable woods for high quality furniture. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species. Drawer bottoms are of high quality 1/4" plywood.

When placing your order please be sure to use the SKU (Letters and numbers ID) of the bed of your choice to get the correct style and price. Then type a note at the bottom left of the order form stating any options and variations you request, including wood species and color, to make this best for you. If you see a desired special feature in any photo, include that request in your added written note. We will send a separate invoice for the cost of your changes to the listing. The listing you order plus your added note coupled with policy statements in this web site are the total statement of your order. Messages of any other type are not part of the order.

NdFvC01 is shown in photos 1 and 2. It is a solid Hardwood Cantilever Platform Bed with 6 drawers, Extended Head Board, and Side Tables. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $200, you can choose from a wide range of colors of stain.

The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at the same level as the top of the sides. The queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided.

Bed details. Please note that all dimensions can be changed to be what is best for you.

1. The top of the head board is 46" above the floor and is 32" above the slats. The head board has 4 main panels connected together.
2. The mattress platform is 4" longer and 3" wider than a standard sized mattress. As an example configuration, the length for a queen or king is 84", and 63" wide for a queen and 79" wide for a king.
3. The total width of the head board is the width of the bed frame plus twice the table width plus about an inch (121" for a king bed and 105" for a queen).
4. The sides sit on the floor and are 16" tall.
5. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats .125" below the top of the sides. The queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is 1.5". 20 slats are provided.
6. The two bedside tables are 18"wide by 16" deep by 8" tall, unless you ask for other dimensions. Photo 10 shows a bedside table with a drawer and a cubby.
7. The sides of the under bed drawers are 9" tall. The other dimensions for these drawers vary by bed size. For the queen or king the drawer faces are 20" wide. The length of the drawer box is 32" for the king or 24" for the queen.
8. The drawers glide on steel ball bearing slides.
9. The full and larger sizes have 6 drawers, while the twin size has 3 drawers. However, we can still configure the twin to fit 6 drawers, but they will be smaller than the full-sized ones.
10. The outside of the cantilever upper side frame is about 5" out from the drawer faces.

It has similar dimensions as NdFvC01 except for the trundle taking the place of the drawers. The max thickness of the trundle mattress is 8" for either a twin or full size. The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats about 1" below the top of the sides. The queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided.

The sides sit on the floor and are about 16" tall. The length for a queen or king is about 86". The head board width for a queen is about 95" and for a king the width is about 111". The width of the mattress frame for a queen is about 66" and for a king the frame width is about 82".

The top of the head board shown is about 42" above the floor. You can order a headboard with the height that is best for you. The price is a little higher if you request taller than 42".

The photos show the head board with a vertical divider in the middle which is what you will receive.

Mounted on the two sides of the head board are side tables as shown in the photos. Each table has one drawer and a shelf. The tables are about 14"wide x 14" deep x 12" tall. You can request a different size.

The bed has 4 drawers; 2 pulling out each side. The under bed drawer box sides are about 10" tall. The drawers glide on side mount steel ball bearing drawer slides.

The queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided.

The sides sit on the floor and are about 14" tall. The length for a queen or king is about 86". The head board width for a queen is about 99" and for a king the width is about 115". The width of the mattress frame for a queen is about 68" and for a king the frame width is about 84". The frame is about 8" wider than your mattress and about 6" longer.

The top of the head board is about 48" above the floor. You can order a headboard with the height that is best for you. The King headboard ships in four sections. The structure on the back of the headboard secures the four parts together upon assembly.

The headboard for Queen or smaller beds has two sections, upper and lower.

Mounted on the two sides of the head board are side tables as shown in the photos. Each table has one drawer. The size included in the price of this listing is 15" wide x 13" deep x 8" tall. You can request different sizes for different prices, or add a cubby to the side tables. If you would like add holes in the tables for charging or power cords at a small added cost, put a note on your order.

The bed is shipped in pieces that lay flat in the box. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. The assembly based on detailed instructions is performed by the buyer. This design is also helpful for people who move because it permits more compact shipping and storage.

The cost of shipping is included in the list price for shipping to a location within the 48 states that can be reached by the delivery truck. If your location is different, please ask us to suggest a shipping location for you. A quote for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada can be provided upon request.

The price of the smaller bed sizes is set lower because of the size and also because this ETSY system does not permit the shipping to be set lower for the smaller bed sizes.
