Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (cherry, oak, maple, walnut (walnut adds cost)). These are very popular and durable woods for high quality furniture. No veneers or compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species. Drawer bottoms are of high quality 1/4" plywood.

The bed in the first 6 photos is made of natural cherry wood finished with Tung oil.

NdFvC03 is shown in photos 1, 2, 3, and 4. The bed is custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $200, you can choose from a wide range of colors of stain.

The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats at the same level as the top of the sides. The queen and larger bed sizes have a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided.

The drawers glide on steel ball bearing drawer slides.

The fourth photo/sketch gives the approximate height dimensions of this bed. The width of the bed is about 2" more than the standard size of your mattress choice. The length of the bed is about 8.5" more than the standard size of your mattress choice.

Each side of the head board has 3 storage compartments that are accessed from the side (shown in photos and the drawing). The top compartment on each side is deeper than the lower two and has a slanted front since the top part of the head board (above the top of the mattress) is slanted.

The bed is custom made for you. You can request almost any change that you would like.


NdFnP01-7 is shown in photos 5, 6, and 7. This bed has 7 extra deep drawers for lots of storage.

The top of the headboard is about 56" above the floor. The bottom of the headboard is below the top of your mattress.

The photos show an optional head frame that is designed to hold upholstery provided by the customer. This listing provides a solid head board (no opening like the photos).

NdFnP01 is shown in photos 8, 9, and 10.
The stationary panel at the head end is sized so that the distance from the wall side of the head end to the edge of the first drawer will be about 22".

This bed is custom made for you with 4 drawers (2 on each side). The bed in the photos has a panel near the head end on each side that is not a drawer face. For the listing price it is a fixed position panel. For an added cost the two panels can be removable to give access to a cubby that provides storage space from one side of the bed to the other at the head end. That provides the cubby with plywood floor and sides. Finished hardwood floor and side can be provided for a higher price. Or for a different price you can request drawers in this space; so the bed would have a total of 6 drawers.

The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats about 1" lower than the top of the sides. For queen and king sizes, the bed has a center support under the slats that is not shown in the photos. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided. The height of the top of the slats is about 19" above the floor. I will change the height to be best for you if you request a different height for the bottom of your mattress. 19" is tall if you have a thick mattress.

The top of the arched headboard as designed is about 54" above the floor. Please indicate the thickness of mattress you plan to use in the message on your order. We like to check the headboard placement so the bottom of the headboard is about 2" below the top of your mattress, and that the special paneled design will be visible above your bedding.
A matching table/console is available at X3130A that can be revised in size to match the bed.

Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

The cost of shipping is included in the listing price for shipping to a location in the 48 states that can be reached by the delivery truck. If your location is different, please ask us to suggest a shipping solution for you. A quote for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada can be provided upon request or you can use a freight forwarder and ask us to ship to the forwarder.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
