Hand crafted in Appalachia USA from solid hardwood (cherry, oak, maple, or walnut (walnut adds $550). These are very popular and durable woods for high quality furniture. Click the wood choice box above to select your wood. No veneers on compressed particle boards are used. The wood that is not normally seen (such as for slats) is a different hardwood species. Drawer bottoms are of high quality 1/4" plywood.

The bed is custom made for you. The listing price is for natural wood color finished with Tung Oil. This creates a beautiful natural bed. For an additional $80, you can choose from a wide range of colors of dye.

The bed is a platform configuration for use without box springs. The bed is configured for a mattress resting on slats that are near the top of the sides. The space between the slats is about 1.5". 20 slats are provided. For the Queen and King sizes, a center beam runs from end to end under the slats to support them in addition to the support at the ends of the slats.

The top of the slats are about 20" above the floor and the bottom of the sides are about 8" above the floor. The drawer boxes are about 7.5" deep (top to bottom).

Two drawers are under the bed pulling out at the foot end. The drawers glide on side mount steel ball bearing slides.

The headboard with shelves has a depth of about 9". The top of the headboard shelf unit is about 56 inches above the floor. The bookcase headboard has two levels of shelves above the bed. The first level has sliding doors.

The bed is about 4" wider than your mattress and about 13" longer than your mattress.

The standard drawer pulls are shown in the photos but the drawer pulls can be selected by the customer. The cost of optional pulls will be paid by the customer.

The bed is custom made for you. You can request almost any change that you would like.

Most furniture in high priced stores is made of pressed materials with thin veneers. Such materials are easily damaged and are difficult to repair. They also often give off unhealthy fumes.

Shipping costs are not automatically calculated by your zip code. The United States shipping cost is the 48 state base cost to which a regional adder must be applied. When checking out, please click the shipping upgrade box to choose your location in one of the three regions listed to set the regional adder. A quote for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada can be provided upon request or you can use a freight forwarder and ask us to ship to the forwarder.

Our wood is from the forests in the Appalachian region of the United States that have been harvested for hundreds of years. Wood is God's natural creation and as a result grain patterns and variation in color and character in the wood are different in each piece of furniture and will not be a match with the listing photos. The unique color, grain and appearance are part of the unique one-of-a-kind qualities of your furniture.

Beds are shipped in pieces that lay flat in a box and require assembly. This enables better protection of the product and lower shipping costs. Detailed instructions are provided. Dressers, desks, shelves, and bedside tables ship fully assembled except for some that need to be attached to a wall and a few that have removable legs.
